This Sunday, Pope Francis appeared at his studio window where he addressed the crowd of 20,000 people packing St. Peter’s Square. The Pope held up a box of what appeared to be medicine.  Across the box was written “Misericordina, 59 Beads for the Heart” and emblazoned with an image of the human heart.

The Pope explained that inside were “59 little pills strung together” into a Rosary, which he stated can also be used to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  Inside the box was a rosary and instructions in several languages.  “Can be used once a day, but in case of emergency can be taken as much as the soul needs” the instructions read, adding “The dose is the same for adults children”

The Pope went on to say, “It is spiritual help for our soul, and helps to spread love, forgiveness, and brotherhood. And don’t forget to take it, because it is good for you.  It is good for your heart, your soul, and your whole life.”
